Hand-drawn topographic maps of the country around the house, seventeen plates, the views as they stood, and the recipes. Written by an innkeeper in Frisco, Colorado, nine thousand feet up in Summit County, about the one who saw to the warmth before anyone got here.
- The maps. Topographic plates drawn by hand in the old survey manner: Mount Royal, Rainbow Lake, and the country around the house, rising line by line.
- Seventeen plates. The mountains and the rooms in the maps’ own hand, from the gate to the last light.
