Avery Lane Maxwell is a writer and the founder of Galena House Publishing, a literary and hospitality studio based in Frisco, Colorado. His debut novel, Still, by Design., is a quiet work of literary fiction set at a small boutique inn in the Colorado mountains — a story of rebuilding, belonging, and becoming, written from inside the dream.
His forthcoming novel, Good Little Innkeeper, is a literary reckoning — an examination of identity, mythology, and the beautiful lies we build to survive. It is the book that follows the atmosphere of Still, by Design. and asks what the beauty was built on top of.
Maxwell's work operates at the intersection of literary fiction, emotional architecture, and the intelligence of beautiful places. He is the steward of the Frisco Inn on Galena, and his writing is shaped by mountain inns, sobriety, and the quiet discipline of craft.
